Pick up from the hotel in the morning setting off for Toledo, one of the most important cities of Central Spain, a World Heritage Site famous for its landscape, outstanding geography, and enchanting river, the Cigarrales and the Vegas. The tour begins with a walk inside the Alcázar with our specialized private guide. This impressive fortified building is located on the highest hill in the city and holds the Army Museum and the Library of Castilla-La Mancha. The tour continues on foot through the Old Town to visit the interior of the monumental First Cathedral, a magnificent example of Flamboyant Gothic style, then stroll along the narrow streets of the Jewish Quarter and enter the Church of Santo Tome, Synagogue of Santa Maria la Blanca, testimony of the coexistence of three cultures, the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes, and Victorio Macho Museum, located on a promontory in the river Tajo with its beautiful views. We will see some of the works of the famous sculptor and hear an audiovisual presentation about the city. You will enjoy a personalized tour at your own pace as well as some free time for lunch. Finally, have a panoramic tour in the minivan around the city with a brief stop to admire the city’s skyline from the other side of the river and some time to take pictures. The last stop is a visit a Damascene or “Damasquino” workshop, Toledo’s famous art of decorating metals with gold, which has been passed on from the ancient craftsmen.
